A second viewpoint can be useful for those with long term or recurrent pain, or people wanting to avoid surgery.
Long term and recurrent pain
Long term pain can result in reduced activity and an over reliance on short term therapy fixes.
We will look at things differently, we will be focussed on you and you story and we will not provide a ‘one size fits all’ treatment programme.
We don’t want you to rely on physio to fix or maintain your health, we want to empower you to manage any recurrent or persistent pain you may have.
We ask questions about ‘normal’ physio treatment and we base our input on the very best research.
We believe that you are the most important person in managing your condition – we will not make you overly reliant on regular physiotherapy sessions.
We will not claim to have any ‘magical machines’ or healing powers without hands – what we will do is give honest advice about the best form of rehabilitation for you.
A comprehensive bespoked assessment in our relaxing, informal environment will enable us to identify issues which can be worked on to help you achieve your goals.

Is surgery the best option for you?
It is a fact of life that surgery is a necessity at times. There are other times however where decisions should not be so clear cut.
With appropriate education and rehabilitation then many operations can be avoided or at least delayed and full activities resumed, this can include many knee and shoulder conditions.
A bespoked consultation will enable you to discuss your own case in depth and have an honest discussion about the best way forward for you.
Where surgery is the advised way forward, then a course of appropriate exercises pre-operatively often results in better outcomes after the procedure. If appropriate then our extensive experience in ‘pre-habilitation’, and access to our strength and conditioning consultant can help devise an effective bespoked programme for you.
Where individuals chose to try conservative management over surgery we will work to provide a highly effective bespoked package aimed at achieving your goals, with treatment provided wherever it is appropriate, be that indoors or outside.
Please contact us to discuss further how we may be able to help prepare you for, or even prevent, surgery.
